Our distance learning program in finance is aimed at prospective Managers in savings banks and banks and to specialists and managers in Finance departments of companies (e.g. controlling or group accounting). Also Investment advisors and asset managers make a good choice by studying online at Allensbach University.

If you work for a fund company or in the area of financial supervision (e.g. in the ECB), a distance learning course in finance will enable you to Sharpen your professional profile. For professionals working in the Family Offices we offer a separate specialization (see below).

Distance learning in finance: Structure of the study program

Your distance learning program in finance consists of four sections together. These build on each other and cover a wide range of topics.

The first semester focuses primarily on the methods of scientific work and empirical social research. Other topics include leadership, project management, process management and international management.

The following topics, among others, are on the agenda for the second semester:

• Corporate Finance
• Credit assessment and rating
• Digital Finance
• Risk management
• Corporate Governance & Compliance
• Portfolio management

In the third semester, you will complete three modules in your chosen specialization (see below) and acquire Expert knowledge. To prepare for your Master's thesis, you will complete a seminar paper in each module.

The conclusion of your distance learning program in finance is the preparation of the Master thesis. This is an independent research project. You will receive individual support from our lecturers when writing your thesis. All digital channels are available to you for this purpose.

Choose between four specializations

Participants in the distance learning program in finance set a thematic focus. This allows you to hone your profile during your studies. After graduation, you may find it easier to find a job in your chosen sector. We currently offer the following specializations:

Duration, costs and admission requirements

The distance learning program in finance is Designed for 24 months. Should you Study part-timeyou have the option of a free extension. You can extend the standard period of study by up to 12 months without incurring additional fees.

The costs for the distance learning course currently amount to 14,160 euros. The sum is paid in monthly installments of 590 Euro debited from your account.

The most important admission requirement is a First professionally qualifying university degree or an equivalent degree in a degree program with a focus on economics. Required are at least 180 ECTS-Leistungspunkte.

You should have studied all the core content of an undergraduate degree in economics (e.g. business mathematics and statistics) as part of the economics major. If this requirement is not met, you can take appropriate courses before starting the distance learning program in finance. Additional modules take.
