Your banking studies at a glance

The banking degree program offered is Bachelor Business Administration-study program. Participants opt for the elective subject "Banking" in order to sharpen their profile and qualify for management tasks.

During your studies, you will deal with the basics in the market and market follow-up areas of credit, account management and payment transactions. Investment also plays an important role in your banking studies.

Our banking study program is designed to prepare participants for Specialist and Management positions in the banking industry be prepared. The course also provides you with the theoretical foundations for a management qualification in accordance with KWG.

The career prospects for graduates of our Banking degree program are excellent. In principle, you can perform all specialist and management tasks up to board positions in companies in the banking industry.

Possible employers for holders of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Banking include savings banks, Landesbanken and Volksbanken. Private banking is also a possible field of activity for graduates of this course. Other employers include FinTech companies, fund providers, asset managers and Family Offices.

NotePlease note that we have several study programs in the area of Family Office Management. You can either choose a Master's degree in Finance with the focus on Family Office Management or apply for the certificate course "Geprüfter Vermögensmanager" decide. Allenbach University is the first educational institute in Germany to set up its own chair for this special aspect of asset management.

Admission requirements and recognition of prior achievements

To enroll in our banking degree program, you need one of the following educational qualifications:

  • General higher education entrance qualification
  • Subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences
  • Professional qualification plus advanced training (at least 400 hours)
  • Professional qualification plus aptitude test in accordance with the Baden-Württemberg State Higher Education Act (LHG) (Note: The aptitude test can be taken at Allensbach University in Constance)

Proof of a completed first degree or a successfully completed first year of study at a university in another federal state is also accepted.

You have already completed further training (e.g. banking specialist or Banking economist)? Then you may be able to shorten your banking studies. Please contact our Student advisory service. They will be happy to check for you which credits are possible in your case.

Duration of study and extension

The banking study program is 6 performance semester created. This time refers to full-time study. If you are studying part-time, the duration of your studies may be extended accordingly. However, you should bear in mind that your relevant experience as a professional will enable you to keep to the standard period of study.

However, exceeding the standard period of study is not a problem: the tuition fees of 325 euros per month include a Free extension by up to 50 percent. If required, you can therefore extend your banking studies by bis zu 18 Monate extend.
