Portfolio management refers to the management of investment portfolios in order to achieve an optimal return with minimal risk. It involves diversifying investments and monitoring risks in order to achieve the investor's objectives.

The course is supplemented by the university certificate in performance analysis, which provides you with an in-depth understanding of different return measures - from the classic calculation of returns to the internal rate of return and time-weighted and continuous interest rates. You will also learn how benchmarks are constructed and what role indices, peer groups and fund universes play in a meaningful evaluation.

Financial and succession planning is also an essential part of entrepreneurship, especially for family businesses. Effective financial planning can help the business achieve its goals, minimize risks and take advantage of growth potential. Succession planning, on the other hand, is the process of identifying a successor to the managing director or owner of the business to ensure that the business continues to be successful in the future.

Of course, the asset class of alternative investments such as private equity and hedge funds is also included. Here, too, you will gain practical insights into how investments work, risk management, the legal framework and the most important market participants in order to make well-founded decisions in the field of alternative investments.

You can choose between a wide range of courses and either complete individual modules or take more extensive certificate programs with several modules as part of the further training to become a Certified Portfolio Manager or Certified Asset Manager.

Knowledge of financial mathematics and statistics at Bachelor's level is required for all further training courses, or should be acquired beforehand.
