Master in Business Education

If you meet the admission requirements set out in the admission regulations of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs and have successfully completed the Master's degree program in Business Education, you can be admitted to the preparatory service for vocational schools in Baden-Württemberg. In other federal states, a case-by-case examination is carried out. Please contact the relevant authorities directly for further information.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport Baden-Württemberg has confirmed that the Master's degree in Business Education enables access to the preparatory service (traineeship) for the teaching profession at vocational schools under certain conditions (attainment of a minimum number of ECTS credits in economics, business administration and related subjects). In Economics at least 12 ECTS credits must be earned in the first degree program and at least 42 ECTS credits in the first and second degree programs combined. In Business administration at least 75 ECTS credits must be proven in the first degree course and a total of 100 ECTS credits after the first and second degree course. If all requirements are met, a Direct access into the preparatory service is possible.

If you are interested in a Lateral entry in Baden-Württemberg, the criteria and subject combinations listed on the website of the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs apply. In all cases, a consecutive Bachelor's and Master's degree is required.
Student financing
As a private educational institution, Allensbach University is exempt from sales tax and therefore does not charge VAT.

The tuition fees include: all digital study materials and textbooks required for the respective study program; participation in the online examinations provided for in the curriculum; term papers, seminar papers, case studies and oral examinations; professional and pedagogical support from our lecturers and professors; personal study advice; use of the university's online services and online libraries (only the usual telecommunication fees apply); participation in online seminars; participation in the final examinations of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs and in preparatory courses; and the issuing of certificates of achievement, reports, certificates and transcripts.

You can terminate your study contract without giving reasons for the first time at the end of the first six months (minimum term: six months) after signing the contract with a notice period of six weeks. Yes, according to the Income Tax Act, the Costs of distance learning deductible in almost all cases. Yes, thanks to the flexible online study model, you can also use all services from abroad. We also offer separate exam dates (online) if you live in a different time zone, for example. If you have also ordered the study materials in printed form and selected the flat rate for printing, the shipping costs for the study materials to other European countries, with the exception of Switzerland and non-EU countries, are included in the flat rate for printing. An additional monthly shipping fee of EUR 10 will be charged for shipping study materials to non-EU countries during the standard study period. If you are interested in one of our Master programs you need a first university degree, for example a Diplom (FH) or a Bachelor's degree with a standard period of study of at least 6 semesters (180 ECTS).

Equivalent examination results achieved at another educational institution can be recognized or be credited. The application for recognition of coursework from a previous degree program must be submitted within the first month of study at the latest. Prior achievements that were not completed at a university can only be transferred to modules of the Bachelor studies can be credited - up to a maximum of 50% of the degree program.

Yes, you can extend the duration of your studies in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs by up to 50% of the standard period of study free of charge. For university certificates, you can even extend the duration of your studies by 100% of the standard period of study free of charge.
Thereafter, a monthly extension fee of 159 euros is charged for all degree programs and university certificates (continuing education). After the free supervision period has expired, students must submit an application to extend the duration of their studies. The relevant application forms can be found in the Online Campus.
In almost all modules, students are given two further attempts after failing the first examination. However, a third attempt is not permitted for the final thesis. Further details can be found in the examination regulations for your degree program. These can be found in the introductory module of your degree program in the online learning system.
Online lectures usually take place on weekdays between 18:00 and 20:00. If you attend, you can ask questions or take part in the discussion using a headset/microphone. We recommend attending the live lectures as this allows you to interact directly with the lecturers and other students.

Your distance learning course has a modular structure so that you can complete one module at a time. To this end, one module is made available to you online each month in all degree programs. In most cases, you can determine the order of the exams yourself. The recorded online seminars for each module are available to you digitally in the online learning system. Your standard period of study is followed by a free supervision period during which you can continue your studies without paying additional tuition fees. The duration of the free supervision period corresponds to half of your standard period of study for Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. For university certificates, 100% of the standard period of study is available to you as a free extension. This period automatically extends your standard period of study, you do not need to do anything else.
If you would like to extend your studies after the free supervision period has expired, you can do so by applying to extend your studies. You will be informed of this in good time.
