Allensbach University signs the Diversity Charter

Allensbach University, which is privately run and oriented towards economics, is visibly committed to an appreciative and unprejudiced working environment. The institution has therefore joined the Charta der Vielfalt employer initiative to promote diversity.
Diversity has become a widely discussed buzzword in business and society. The concept encompasses the acceptance of and respect for diversity and is based on the understanding that every person is unique. Individual differences in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities or even religious and political beliefs do not play a role in a person's reputation.
Promoting diversity in companies and institutions
The Diversity Charter is an employer initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions. It was launched in December 2006 by four companies and is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration, Minister of State Reem Alabali-Radovan. By signing the Diversity Charter, Allensbach University is sending a clear signal for diversity and tolerance in the world of work and showing its appreciation of all employees.
"Our working world is constantly changing," says Timo Keppler, Chancellor of Allensbach University. "Our commitment to diversity enables us to adapt to social and economic changes such as globalization, demographic change and declining employment figures. By signing the Diversity Charter, we are now clearly positioning ourselves vis-à-vis our employees, customers and business partners."
Among other things, Allensbach University is specifically committed to promoting gender equality. Demographic and other factors such as age and educational background do not play a role either. "For example, we offer the opportunity to develop academically on a part-time basis. In this way, we open up opportunities and are happy to meet today's diversity requirements in and for organizations," emphasizes Prof. Dr. Sonja Keppler, Equal Opportunities Officer at Allensbach University.
Respectful and appreciative cooperation
"The commitment to diversity, the commitment to respectful and appreciative coexistence, is more important today than ever, because our society is more diverse and differentiated than ever before. By signing the Diversity Charter, you have committed to recognizing the diversity of society within and outside the organization, to recognizing, sharing and living the values. Because diversity is an attitude," says Stefan Kiefer, Managing Director of Charta der Vielfalt e.V. "This also applies to the world of work. By signing the Diversity Charter, the signatory organizations clearly demonstrate that they promote diversity in the world of work and thus pave the way for innovative solutions and more productive approaches."
