Allensbach University is one of Germany's "Leading Innovators"

Allensbach University of Applied Sciences Konstanz has been named a "Leading Innovator" by "Focus Business". This makes the private university one of the most innovative companies in Germany and is further confirmation of its pioneering digital education model.

The private Allensbach University of Applied Sciences in Constance has been awarded the new title of "Leading Innovator" by "Focus Business". This makes the private university one of 315 companies from 29 sectors in Germany that were classified as particularly innovative in 2025. The award is based on a multi-stage assessment process that takes into account the five areas of innovative strength, future viability, corporate culture, digitalization and sustainability. "The award shows that our model of a fully digitalized distance learning university is recognized as forward-looking. For us, digital transformation is not an add-on, but the core of our identity - in teaching, in research and in communication with our students," emphasizes Timo Keppler, Chancellor of Allensbach University.

The "Leading Innovator" recommendation list, formerly known as "Innovation Champions", is based on a combination of online surveys, publicly available data and the analysis of online reviews. A score is calculated for each company from these three sources. Only those that achieve at least seven out of a possible fifteen points are included in the list. Allensbach University has clearly overcome this hurdle and now has visibility in an exclusive circle of companies that impress with new ideas, sustainable concepts and digital thinking.

For Allensbach University, the award is further confirmation of its consistent profile for the future. The university has already received several awards, including "Top Provider of Continuing Education" from "Focus Business", as "Top distance learning university" by FernstudiumCheck and as "Innovation Champion" as the predecessor award of "Leading Innovator" and "Digital champion" award. The "Leading Innovator" award now particularly emphasizes that the university fulfils the decisive criteria to meet the requirements of a dynamically changing educational world. "For us, innovation is not a short-term project, but the expression of an attitude. We not only want to offer students the greatest possible flexibility, but also give them the certainty that with us they have a partner who focuses on sustainability, quality and value orientation," Timo Keppler continues.
