Allensbach University is once again one of Germany's most sought-after employers
In the new F.A.Z. Institute ranking of private universities in Germany, Allensbach University of Applied Sciences Constance is the industry winner as Germany's most sought-after employer.
In cooperation with the F.A.Z. Institute, ServiceValue has investigated which companies in Germany are considered to be particularly desirable employers and awarded the "Germany's most desirable employers 2025" prize. Among the private universities in Germany, Allensbach University (Constance) is the industry winner. This is an improvement on the award in 2024, when the private university finished in third place in this ranking.
"It is clear that the number of available employees will not increase again. Demographic change is doing the rest. There will simply be fewer and fewer employees available, so competition between companies for available employees will continue to increase. This also applies to us as a provider of academic continuing education," says University Chancellor Timo Keppler. Allensbach University in Constance is a state-recognized university in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg and offers various part-time Bachelor's and Master's programmes in the field of economics. "This study shows how conditions on the labor market have changed and how important it is for employers to increase their attractiveness for potential applicants. The award helps to identify and highlight the best employers in Germany," emphasizes Timo Keppler.
The study took place between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2025 and covered several hundred million German or German-language internet sources, including editorial websites and social media. For this study, approximately 28.5 million mentions of around 16,000 companies were identified and assigned to the reputation factors within the study period. In addition to the data evaluation of the social media monitoring, the companies were surveyed on the topics of job security, working hours, salary structure, development and training opportunities, communication, family friendliness and additional benefits.

Allensbach University has been recognized by "Focus Business" as "Top Provider for Continuing Education" 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, "FernstudiumCheck" as "Top Distance Learning University" 2024 and 2025 and as "Excellent Provider" 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 by the comparison portal "Fernstudium Direkt". Allensbach University also took second place in the "Fernhochschulen-DE" segment of the portal, is one of Germany's Innovation Champions 2024 and 2025 by "Focus Business", one of the "Digital Champions 2025" by "Focus Money" and "Deutschland Test" and one of the best distance learning universities in Germany in the FernstudiumCheck.de ranking.
