MBA at Allensbach University - a report by Helena Wanser

I was a competitive sailor for many years and regularly took part in competitions. At the same time, I studied psychology and gained my first insights into sports psychology. Over time, I developed the desire to develop more professionally in a business environment. I had long been interested in topics such as management and HR, but initially I lacked the self-confidence to really take this step. That's exactly why I decided to do an MBA at Allensbach University.

One of the main reasons for my choice was the program's high degree of flexibility. It was important to me that the course could be easily combined with my everyday life. I was particularly impressed by the fact that I could start at any time and that the exam dates could also be planned flexibly.

Shortly after starting my studies, I took on a position in HR management - a step that I probably wouldn't have taken so quickly without the MBA. What is particularly valuable for me is that the course content gives me a comprehensive overview of the central functional areas of companies and the tasks of management. This knowledge helps me to better understand interrelationships, make more informed decisions and move more confidently in my working environment.

I'm currently in my second semester. As all the study materials are available online, it's easy and flexible to combine my studies with my everyday life. At the same time, I have developed fixed routines: My daily routine usually involves working in the morning and devoting myself to my studies in the late afternoon or evening. To balance things out, I like to get on my racing bike and explore the routes around Stuttgart.

I also find the support from the university very positive. The documents are clear and easy to understand, and contact with lecturers and student services is quick and uncomplicated. The exchange with my fellow students via our WhatsApp group, where we share experiences and give each other tips, also adds a lot of value.

After two semesters, I am convinced that I made the right decision. The course offers me the necessary flexibility, provides me with practical knowledge and supports me in consistently pursuing my career path in a business environment. Sometimes I think back to my time in competitive sport - how helpful such a model would have been back then. Today, I use this freedom for myself and my career and look forward to the next stages of my MBA studies.
