Psychological strength for the new world of work - your certificate in health psychology and positive psychology

In a working world that is constantly changing, psychological skills are becoming a decisive success factor. Employees want more meaning, health, motivation and appreciation. Companies that meet these needs ensure long-term commitment, productivity and innovative strength.

With the University Certificate in Health Psychology and Positive Psychology in the New World of Work, you will acquire sound knowledge and practical skills to actively promote health and psychological well-being in organizations.

Promoting health, strengthening resilience - with psychological expertise

In the first part of the certificate, you will deal with central concepts of health psychology. You will learn how resource-oriented approaches contribute to strengthening mental health and how emotions influence well-being. You will also look at the role of social resources - for example, how stable relationships, trust and support in the workplace can increase resilience and reduce the risk of illness.

A particular focus is on theory-based interventions that you can use to develop concrete strategies for health promotion. You will learn how to implement evidence-based concepts in practice, activate individual and organizational resources and sustainably influence health behavior.

Positive psychology for more meaning, motivation and commitment

Positive psychology opens up new perspectives for shaping a healthy, performance-enhancing work culture. You will deal with motivational strategies, the emotional attachment of employees and the factors influencing the psychological well-being of people in organizations. You will recognize the role that appreciation, positive social relationships and self-management play in commitment and satisfaction - both at an individual and organizational level.

You will learn how to use positive psychological methods to strengthen the corporate culture, develop potential and create an environment in which people enjoy working. In this way, you will make an active contribution to employee retention, the reduction of psychological stress and the development of a people-centered management style.

Actively shaping healthy working environments - with modern leadership and OHM

In the third subject area, you will build a bridge to the modern working world. You will deal with occupational health management (OHM) as a strategic instrument for promoting health in organizations. You will gain insights into current trends such as New Ways of Working - from agile forms of work to mobile working and flexible structures - and learn about the opportunities and challenges this presents for mental health.

A central element is the topic of healthy leadership. You will learn how managers not only promote performance through empathetic behavior, clarity and support, but also contribute to the mental strength of their teams.

This training will be offered from October 2025!
