Contents and aims of the "Journal for Interdisciplinary Economic Research"

The “Journal for Interdisciplinary Economic Research” was published until December 2025 and was then discontinued. It was dedicated to contributions that combine academic research with practical experience. It conveyed current findings as well as suggestions for further research. Many of the authors have many years of professional experience outside of universities, which gives particular weight to the application-oriented aspect of their research.

Submissions that were published had to meet the following criteria:

  • The focus of the contributions must deal with economic or business education aspects.
  • Either new findings must be provided or existing findings must be critically examined in a new way. In doing so, the acquisition of knowledge in the field of economics or business education must be advanced. Economic considerations that combine several scientific disciplines are particularly welcome.
  • The contributions must meet the criteria of scientific papers, and correct citation is essential.
  • Empirical studies must describe the methods used in a comprehensible manner.
